Also on the achievo difficulty thing, if i raise it now will i get it? Didn't know there was one and knowing just kicked my OCD right in the nads. The only thing associated with it is an achievement, if you complete 100% of a playthrough at a higher difficulty without lowering it in the settings.Īlright i'll play around. The devs have confirmed that higher difficulty level does *not* increase item drop rate from enemies. So, feel free to switch your game branch to trunk if you want to try it out. It doesn't hurt to just dial it up to nightmare and see how it feels, since you can always adjust the difficulty back down.Īlso, keep in mind that different parts of the game have different difficulty levels, for example some of the early bosses are intentionally on the easy side balancing-wise.Īlso note that the devs are currently testing a modified damage formula that will balance edge cases better, and they could really use feedback on it. I'd say if you tend to spend a bit of time leveling up, doing side quests, clearing hunts, and/or crafting weapons, then you'll want to go for nightmare. (I guess there are some people who pick up Edge of Eternity who have never played a turn-based game before) Originally posted by Keep Cool 22:The game was much more difficult in Early Access, but some people complained so the devs nerfed normal difficulty quite a lot.
